Bank 2 (cylinders 4-6) counterpart to P1341 (Porsche fault 178). The VarioCam intake-cam adjustment on bank 2 is out of range or implausible. Same failure profile as bank 1: worn actuator wear pads and chains, sticking oil-control solenoid, or an oil-supply problem on the M96/M97 flat-six.
SYMPTOMS
- Check-engine light
- Rough idle

- Cold-start chain rattle
LIKELY CAUSES

- Stretched cam chains
- Sticking oil-control solenoid
- Low or degraded oil

DIAGNOSIS STEPS
- Read live bank 2 cam deviation
- Check oil level/condition and grade
- Clean or replace the bank 2 oil-control solenoid
- Inspect VarioCam actuator/chains if deviation persists
- Replace worn components as a set
